UGREEN 80405. HDMI 2.1 cable. 5 meters end to end. Male connector on both sides. The spec sheet says 8K resolution at 60Hz refresh, assuming both devices on either end actually support that output level.

Nickel plating on the connectors. That finish holds up better than bare metal when cables get plugged in and pulled out regularly. Oxidation and general wear take longer to show. The conductor inside is tinned copper. The signal travels through that copper core from the source device to the display across the full 5-meter run.

The outside layer has braided material wrapped around it. Different from smooth rubber or plastic jackets on cheaper cables. Braided sheathing survives more bending, twisting, and general wear. Running cable behind a wall-mounted TV, through tight corners, under carpet edges, and around furniture—braided holds up.

Why 5 meters? Standard cables run 1.5 or 2 meters. Fine for a laptop on a desk connected to a nearby monitor. Not enough for living room setups where the TV hangs on a wall and the gaming console sits in a cabinet three meters away. Home theater projectors mounted on ceilings need even more slack. Office conference rooms with displays mounted far from equipment racks face the same issue. UGREEN made the 80405 at 5 meters for those exact situations.

HDMI 2.1 backward compatibility means older 4K and 1080p devices work through this cable without problems. They output at their own resolution limits. A cable just carries what the devices send through it.
